ESRs Brian and Aitor based in Galway and Nicole on secondment from Frankfurt went to The Jes Primary school in Galway to tell the kids about the TRAINERS network and their research. They visited 6th class (11-12 year olds) and showed them some normal and cancer cells under the microscope, how to pipette and great fun was had by all with some games the ESRs made up based on what the kids had learnt. They also visited the junior infants (4-5 year olds) and did some amazing “experiments” to get the kids interested in science!
