Eric Chevet our INSERM partner organised a 2 day meeting in Paris on 2nd and 3rd Oct 2017. The focus of the meeting was on ER function in physiology and pathology and the meeting had an excellent line-up of speakers including Peter Walter (UCSF) and Kazutoshi Mori (Kyoto University) who won the Lasker prize for their work on the Unfolded Protein Response. Most of the TRAINERS ESRs attended the meeting and the speed dating event gave them the chance to question the Lasker prize winners as well as other experts in the field about the work and careers. Overall it was an excellent meeting in a great location and a great success – well done to Eric and the team from Aviesan for organizing such a great meeting with no registration fee enabling young researchers to attend.
